Payment Release Terms

These Payment Release Terms apply to all artists selling artwork through ChitraHub (www.chitrahub.com).

By listing artwork for sale on ChitraHub, the artist agrees to the following payment release conditions.

1. Payment Collection

• All customer payments are processed through ChitraHub’s official payment gateway.
• Full payment is collected at the time of purchase.
• ChitraHub deducts its 12% commission from the artwork price.
• Shipping charges are excluded from commission.
• Coupon discounts are excluded from commission.

2. Payment Holding Period

ChitraHub follows a payment holding system to protect both customers and artists.

After purchase:

1. Payment is securely collected.
2. The remaining amount (after commission) is temporarily held.
3. Artist must dispatch the artwork within 3–5 working days.
4. Tracking number must be submitted to ChitraHub.

3. Payment Release Timeline

Payment will be released to the artist:

• After confirmed delivery based on tracking status, OR
• Within 3–5 working days after confirmed delivery.

This holding period ensures protection in case of:

• Delivery disputes
• Damage complaints
• Wrong item claims

4. Delay in Payment Release

ChitraHub reserves the right to delay payment release in cases involving:

• Customer complaints
• Damage claims
• Fraud investigation
• Non-compliance with shipping rules
• Incomplete tracking information

Payment will remain on hold until the issue is resolved.

5. Dispute Scenario

If a dispute arises:

• ChitraHub may temporarily withhold payment.
• Evidence such as photos, courier reports, and communication records may be reviewed.
• If the issue is due to artist negligence (wrong item, poor packaging), refund liability may apply.

Final decisions will be made based on available evidence and platform policy.

6. Non-Delivery or Failed Shipment

If:

• The artist fails to ship the artwork, OR
• The order is cancelled before dispatch,

The customer will receive a refund.

In such cases:

• Commission will not be charged if cancellation occurs before dispatch.
• Repeated failure to ship may lead to suspension.

7. Payment Method & Transfer

Approved payments will be transferred:

• To the bank account provided by the artist.
• Within 3–7 working days after release approval.

Artists are responsible for providing accurate banking details.

ChitraHub is not responsible for delays caused by incorrect bank information.

8. Tax Responsibility

Artists are solely responsible for:

• GST compliance (if applicable)
• Income tax reporting
• Invoicing obligations

ChitraHub is not liable for individual tax compliance of artists.

9. Policy Violations

ChitraHub reserves the right to:

• Withhold pending payments
• Suspend artist accounts
• Terminate marketplace access

in cases of:

• Fraud
• Repeated shipping delays
• Copyright violations
• Policy breaches

10. Policy Updates

ChitraHub may update these Payment Release Terms with prior notice.

Continued participation in the marketplace indicates acceptance of updated terms.
